In some areas, it happens that with all the efforts of the owner of the plant, they do not want to grow, the site is constantly dirty, and the basement and foundation cheeses are covered with mold. This is due to the effects of groundwater, which are too close to the surface. The soil saturated with water freezes in winter, and in the spring thaws, which makes the soil increase and move. This, in turn, leads to a shift in the walls, a rupture of the masonry, which weakens the foundation and lets moisture in the basement. Atmospheric precipitation also contributes to the “walk” of the soil and damage to the foundation. To protect themselves from groundwater and rainwater, the owners of country houses have been using drainage systems for many generations for many generations.
All drainage systems are built by arranging drainage pipes (drains) around the building and observation wells.
At the first stage, we dig a trench 50 cm wide, the bottom of which is covered with a granite crushed stone layer of at least 10 cm. In the trench we put perforated drains with a smooth inner surface. So that there are no failures of the system and the desired slope is withstanding (0.5-0.7 mm) lay out the pipes in small segments. Then fall asleep them with a small granite fraction with a layer of 30 cm and cover with geotextiles. We pour a layer of sand to the edge of the trench and a layer of earth without garbage and stones on it.
Observation (revision) wells are needed to control the operation of the system and periodically clean it. The well is made of corrugated pipe, which has a bottom and a Luke made of polypropylene with a diameter of 315 mm. Hatches can be disguised using benches, lawns, sculptures, etc.D. Also, wells are equipped with 20-centimeter slobs and installed on each second direct turn. This provides high -quality flushing the drains and significantly reduces the cost of the system.
The water that is collected by the Drains enters the collector well, which is equipped at the lowest point of the site. The last observation well is connected with a collector well, which has a diameter of at least 600 mm and is equipped with a drainage pump. The collector is made of plastic, which is ensured by tightness, ease of installation and a small place occupied by the well on the site.
If in parallel with the drainage of the foundation a storm sewer is equipped, then the collector is equipped with a check valve, which prevents water from entering the system during snow melting or rain.
