The proposed document with the text on the legalization of marijuana received bipartisan support in the US state of Alabama. This is reported by CNN.
The Alabama House of Representatives approved a bill to legalize the sale of marijuana for recreational purposes, giving 68 heads “for” and 34 “against”, on the morning of May 6.
Now, in order for the bill to take effect, it must be approved by the Senate and signed by the governor of the state.
Recall that the first states to legalize marijuana in 2012 were Colorado and Washington. Now this drug is allowed for personal use in the states of New York, New Jersey, Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, Illinois, California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and Vermont.
